Sabbagh meets member of Russian Federal Assembly Konstantin Basyuk

Damascus ,SANA- Speaker of the People Assembly, Hammouda Sabbagh, met Sunday, member of Russian Federal Assembly Konstantin Basyuk and accompanied by the Head of Russian-Syrian Business Council, Dr. Louay Youssef. 

Sabbagh stressed that the relations between Syria and Russia are deeply rooted and the importance of working to continue strengthening and developing them in terms of exchanging experiences in various fields, especially parliamentary ones, for the interest of the peoples of the two friendly countries. 

Sabbagh praised Russia’s stances in support of Syria and its just causes, as the two countries confront one enemy and fight one battle in order to eliminate terrorism. 

Basyuk,for his part, reiterated that Russia is interest in developing relations with Syria in parliamentary and other fields, especially the four provinces that recently joined the Russian Federation, noting the importance of mutual visits between delegations of the two countries in various fields.
