Passenger boat sinks off Persian Gulf

TEHRAN, Feb. 14 (MNA) – A passenger boat sunk off the Persian Gulf on Tuesday night, a provincial source in Iran's Hormozgan province said.

The unauthorized passenger boat had left Hormuz Island for Bandar Abbas on Tuesday night without paying attention to the weather warnings.

The boat ran out of fuel, collided with a landing craft, and sank after being overturned.

All the 11 passengers were rescued.
