Malaysian FM Held Talks With Lao, Vietnamese Counterparts To Boost Ties

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 30 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Foreign Minister Mohamad Hasan held bilateral meetings with Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Saleumxay Kommasith and Vietnamese Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son in Luang Prabang, Laos.

Mohamad in a Facebook posting said the meetings, which were held separately after the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ (AMM) Retreat on Monday, touched on various matters including the strengthening of cooperation between Malaysia with Laos and Vietnam.

Mohamad led the Malaysian delegation at the AMM Retreat from Jan 28 to 29, 2024, in Luang Prabang, Laos.

The AMM Retreat was chaired by Kommasith, with the participation of ASEAN Foreign Ministers, the Secretary-General of ASEAN, and the Foreign Minister of Timor-Leste as ASEAN Observer.
