AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023/ Jordan to Quarter-finals with Sensational 3-2 Victory over Iraq

Doha, January 29 (QNA) - Two stoppage time goals secured Jordan a dramatic 3-2 win over Iraq and progression into the last-eight of the ongoing AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023, on Monday. 
    With Iraq seemingly heading into the quarter-finals with a 2-1 lead, Jordan's Yazan Al Arab levelled it in the 95th before Nizar Al Rashdan pulled of a sensational comeback two minutes later at the Khalifa International Stadium. 
    Jordan's Yazan Al Naimat opened the scoring at the stroke of halftime. Saad Natiq equalized for Iraq in the 66th minute before his teammate Ayman Hussein struck the second 10 minutes later. 
    Hussein was sent off later over excessive celebrations. 
    Jordan will play Tajikistan in the quarter-finals. (QNA)
