Iran’s capabilities in oil industries on display in Moscow

Moscow, June 25, IRNA – Iran’s noticeable capabilities in oil industries were put on display here Wednesday evening in an expert level gathering in presence of deputy IRI oil minister and a number of Russian oil industry officials.

According to IRNA correspondent in Moscow, Deputy Oil Minister and Managing Director of the Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, engineer Seyyed Noureddin Shahnazi, in the expert level gathering introducing Iran’s capabilities in oil industries field, proposed that the participants would participate in Iran’s refinery projects.
He added, “The Russian oil companies interested in cooperation with the Iranian oil industries can assist us in the construction of seven new Iranian refineries and invest in renovation projects of the presently in use refineries in our country.”
He said, “In making investments in Iranian oil industries you will notice that the Islamic Republic of Iran has provided the required facilities so that the foreign investors would make their investments in ease.”
The Iranian deputy oil minister referred to Iranian expertise and scientific know-how in oil and gas industries, adding, “We hope in the framework of the two countries’ major policies and bilateral cooperation we would be witnesses to mutual benefits.”
The Managing Director of The Iranian Refinery Industries, Ali Aqanejad, too, said at the event, “The Russian investors can by making investments in Iranian refineries gain lofty mutual benefits.”
Islamic Republic of Iran’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation Seyyed Reza Sajjadi, too, said, “Russia’s cooperation in Iranian oil and gas industries is of strategic importance and investments in such industries would be fully state-supported.”
In the meeting of the Iranian and Russian oil industry expert the representatives of Russian oil firms posed their questions on being economical of getting involved in Iranian oil industrial projects, what facilities in particular Iran has provided for foreign investments, the foreign firms’ share in projects etc.
