AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023: Former Emirati Squad Player Faisal Khalil Praises Gulf Teams' Technical Performance in Group Stage

Doha, January 28 (QNA) - Former Emirati squad footballer Faisal Khalil praised the advanced level of technical skills demonstrated by the national football teams of Arabian Gulf states in the group stage of the ongoing AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023.
Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Khalil said that the Gulf squads have strong incentives to keep up their outstanding performance in the round of 16 stage, given their record in the group stage, particularly the Qatar team that got out victorious in all of their matches, in addition to Iraq, Group D leader.
The former Emirati national team player appreciated the fan wide attendance which is proof of the tournament's success, calling on Gulf and Arab fans to further support their teams.
Khalil predicted that Qatar and Iraq will make it far into the tournament, considering their earlier solid performance.
The former Emirati squad player concluded his statement to QNA by saying that Qatar succeeded in organizing one of the most prominent championships in Asia, which highlights Arab countries' ability to organize extraordinary football tournaments in the future. (QNA)
