AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023: Australia Defeat Indonesia 4-0, Through to Quarter-finals

Doha, January 28 (QNA) - Australia advanced to the last-8 of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023, after defeating Indonesia 4-0, at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium at Al Sadd Club, on Sunday.
An own goal from Elkan Baggott opened the scoring for the 2015 winners in the 12th minute before right winger Martin Boyle doubled it in the 45th minute. In the 89th minute, Craig Goodwin made it 3-0 and an injury time goal from Harry Souttar increased the woes of Indonesians.
Later tonight, UAE and Tajikistan will clash at Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium at the round of 16 of the tournament that runs through Feb. 10.
Martin Boyle was chosen the man of the match.
Australia are set to face the winner of the Saudi Arabia-South Korea showpiece in the quarter-finals. (QNA)
