SC Releases Report on FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Journey

Doha, January 28 (QNA) - The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) has released a report detailing Qatar's exceptional journey to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the mega-event which was held for the first time in the Arab world and the region and generated international acclaim.
Titled "FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Amazing Delivered for Football. For Qatar. For the World", the report highlights Qatar's innovative abilities and its success in fulfilling its promises to organize what FIFA President Gianni Infantino hailed as the best World Cup ever.
From Qatar's World Cup bidding in 2010 to the historic final match that saw Argentina, led by Lionel Messi, lifting the trophy after defeating defending champions France, the report addresses all aspects of the global sporting event, including the social, cultural and economic legacy of the tournament.
Also highlighted in the report was the efforts of the SC team to deliver a huge event amid Qatar's expectations to strengthen its position as the capital of global sports with a bright sports career.
Director General of the SC, Eng. Yasser Abdullah Al Jammal, said the report documents the fulfillment of Qatar's dream, which began in 2009, to give a historic event that surpassed all expectations.
Qatar proudly honored its words and history will record in luminous letters the Qatar World Cup 2022 as the best and most impressive edition ever; the Qataris are overwhelmed with feelings of happiness and pride that Qatar has fulfilled its promise and been able to set new standards in hosting major events, he added.
