MOFA to announce soon tender for Biometrics Service Centers
Riyadh, June 24, SPA -- The Ministry of the Foreign Affairs (MOFA)
has announced here today that it will soon tender providing a network
of service centers for Biometrics (Face and finger printing) for
those who want to obtain entry visas to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Prince Khalid bin Saud bin Khalid, Under Secretary of the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs said that this important initiative is aimed at
strengthening the security aspect of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in
addition to raising the level of services provided to visa
applicants.
The intended centers will provide a consistently high quality
service at reasonable prices and achieve a quick registration of
Biometrics service on behalf of the Saudi embassies and consulates
abroad, he added.
It should be noted that the establishment and operation of these
centers will be by one or more trading partners under the supervision
of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Saudi missions abroad.
The intended service centers will provide the visa applications and
facilitate issuance in addition to conducting and registering
Biometrics for all visa applicants who desire to visit the Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia, adding that these centers will be located in major
cities around the world, effective from 2010.
