AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023: Tajikistan Coach Hails Qatar's Exceptional Organization

Doha, January 26 (QNA) - Croatian coach Petar Segrt, coach of the Tajikistan national team, emphasized that the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 is witnessing exceptional and unique organization, stressing that the current edition of the continental tournament is the best ever as a result of the efforts made by Qatar to host this major football event in the best possible manner.
Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Segrt said that the organization of the 2023 AFC Asian Cup in Qatar is extremely distinctive, and the current edition of the tournament is the best ever.
He expressed his gratitude to the Asian Football Confederation and the organizing committee for their role in the success of the current continental edition, noting that the atmosphere is generally unique, and he feels great happiness to continue competing in the continental competition after leading the Tajikistan national team to qualify for the Round of 16 for the first time in history.
The Tajikistan national team secured qualification for the next round after finishing second in Group A, behind the group leader Qatar, and ahead of China and Lebanon, who finished third and fourth respectively. Tajikistan will face the UAE national team on Sunday in the Round of 16 at the Ahmed bin Ali Stadium. (QNA)
