AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023/ Round of 16 Matches Unveiled

Doha, January 25 (QNA) - The dates of the round of 16 matches of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 were unveiled Thursday with the qualification of 16 teams for the final eight, starting Sunday until Wednesday. 
    The first and second-place of each of the six groups, as well as the third-place finishers from the groups (B, C, D, and E) qualified for the last 16.
       Eight Arab teams were able to qualify for the next stage, representing half the number of teams in this round, while the Oman and Lebanon teams were eliminated in the group stage.
       The round of 16 will see two Arab matches, the first between Iraq and Jordan, and the second between Qatar and Palestine.
       The matches will begin on Sunday with Australia taking on Indonesia, and UAE facing Tajikistan.
       On Monday, Iraq will play with Jordan, then Qatar will face Palestine. On Tuesday, Uzbekistan will meet Thailand, and Saudi Arabia will face South Korea.
       The final eight matches will conclude on Wednesday, with Bahrain facing Japan, and Syria meeting Iran. (QNA)
