Kyrgyz Cultural Week Concludes in Qatar

Doha, January 24 (QNA) - The cultural week of the Kyrgyz Republic organized by the Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic wrapped up in Doha Wednesday.
Director of the Department of Culture and Arts at the Ministry of Culture Maryam Yassin Al Hammadi said the Kyrgyz cultural week came within the programmes of the cultural events the ministry incorporates into its annual activities with the sisterly and friendly countries. She added that these events aim to help the public internalize diverse cultures of the friendly nations through cultural relationships among them, either through counterpart miniseries, or embassies accredited to the countries.
The cultural week included a wide range of events with the participation of nearly 70 Kyrgyz artists, alongside several popular music bands, Al Hammadi highlighted, pointing out that the event started at Expo 2023 Doha where a host of artists performed cultural and patrimonial shows with traditional fashions and played music using folk instruments of Kyrgyzstan.
She added that the events featured a show at the Kyrgyz house in Lusail Boulevard Tuesday which included a broad range of art shows and paintings that showcased the natural environment there and focused on common elements between the two nations, such as hunting, horses, et al. The shows featured displays of diverse traditional clothes, accompanied by traditional musical instruments, in addition to live artistic performances and songs.
Hosted by the State of Qatar, the cultural week of the Kyrgyz Republic came within the framework of the cultural cooperation between the two nations in implementation of the cooperation agreement signed between them. (QNA)
