AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023/ Bahrain's Coach Expresses Optimism to Defeat Jordan on Thursday

Doha, January 24 (QNA) - The coach of the Bahraini national team, Juan Antonio Pizzi, expressed on Wednesday optimism about facing Jordan on Thursday in the third and final round of Group E of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023. In the pre-match press conference, Pizzi said that Bahrain is fully prepared for the match against Jordan in search of achieving victory and securing qualification to the round of 16, expressing his confidence in the players' ability to perform at the best level possible and obtain the three points to secure passage to the second round. He explained that facing the Jordanian team would not be easy, as they performed at great levels in the first two matches against Malaysia and South Korea and showed great strength in both defensive and offensive aspects. He added that Jordan had a great match with a strong South Korean team and was close to grabbing the win if it was not for the equalizer by the Koreans. He pointed out that he, along with the assisting technical staff, monitored the Jordanian team well and prepared a plan for victory, which requires all players to be at the top of their mental, physical and technical abilities.
