Arab Interior Ministers Council welcomes Anti-Drug Day

Tunis, June 24, SPA -- The Secretary General of the Arab Interior
Ministers Council reiterated Wednesday the importance of joint forces
to combat drugs and called for efforts to meet the growing and
serious dangers arising from the promotion and use of narcotics and
psychotropic substances.

Speaking on the occasion of the Anti-Drug Day, to be observed
tomorrow, he called on all citizens in the Arab world to take the
necessary precautions and be aware of the consequences of falling
victim to these poisonous drugs, and cooperate with the concerned
bodies in the fight against this phenomenon, in order to make the
Arab people remain free from their danger and prospects of
subsequently leading to crime perpetration.

He also affirmed that it is a collective responsibility and a common
goal to reach drug-free communities.
