By Phone…PM Stressed To British FM The Necessity Of Stopping The Aggression Against Gaza And Working To Prevent The Conflict From Expanding

Baghdad / NINA / - Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani received a phone call today, Monday, from British Minister of Foreign Affairs, David Cameron, during which bilateral relations between the two countries and the overall situation in the region were discussed.

 

During the call, Al-Sudani stressed the need to stop the aggression in Gaza and joint international action to prevent the expansion of the conflict, stressing: “The repercussions of what is happening to the Palestinian people are now affecting the situation throughout the region.”

 

Al-Sudani also touched, according to a statement by his media office, on Iraq’s position on the presence of the international coalition to fight ISIS, in light of the growing capabilities of the Iraqi forces, defeating terrorism, and establishing security and stability, stressing the Iraqi government’s commitment to securing foreign missions and embassies operating in Iraq, as well as protecting the locations of foreign advisors.

 

For his part, Cameron expressed Britain's support for Iraq's security and stability, and its support for efforts made to prevent the expansion of the conflict in the Middle East, stressing the continuation of his country's efforts to implement a ceasefire and deliver humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people.

 

The British Minister renewed his condemnation of the Iranian military action that recently targeted Erbil./End
