Qatar Team Qualifies for 2025 IHF World Men's Handball Championship

Doha, January 19 (QNA) - Qatar handball team qualified for the 2025 IHF World Men's Handball Championship in Croatia, Denmark and Norway from 14 Jan to 2 Feb 2025, after defeating Iran 27/23 in the main round of the 21st Asian Men's Handball Championship 2024 in Bahrain.
After this win, Qatar team raised its score to 4 points and officially guaranteed advancement to the semi-finals, in addition to qualifying for the World Championship before its final match in the main round against Japan on Sunday.
The Qatari team defeated Thursday the United Arab Emirates team 25/21 in its first match in Group A competitions of the main round of the 21st Asian Men's Handball Championship.
The team qualified for the main round after topping the Group A in the group stage with a full score, achieving three victories over Chinese Taipei (33/26), Oman (28/18), and Kuwait (24/20).
The Qatar handball team is looking forward to maintaining the Asian title they won in the last five editions in 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020 and 2022. (QNA)
