AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023: Bahrain's Coach Aims to Rectify 1st Game Mistakes

Doha, January 19 (QNA) - The coach of the Bahrain national team, Argentine Juan Antonio Pizzi, expressed his hope to restore balance and achieve the victory against Malaysia on Saturday in the second round of the Group E matches of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023.
In the pre-match press conference, Pizzi said that they had turned a new leaf and forgot about the South Korea game as they dealt with the mistakes they made. The focus will be on facing Malaysia and trying to grant the first three points in the group.
He added that, during their match with South Korea, they showed glimpses of a good level, which they have to build on and focus on throughout the whole match. He stressed that they need to impose their style of playing either in defense or attack, adding that they studied the Malaysian team well and identified its strengths and weaknesses.
The coach concluded his statements by promising to work on finding appropriate solutions to the absences in the team as some of the players were injured. (QNA)
