AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023/ India's Coach Blames Defensive Errors for Loss against Uzbekistan

Doha, January 18 (QNA) - The coach of the Indian national football team, Croatian Igor Stimac, attributed the 0-3 loss to Uzbekistan in the second group match of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023, to individual mistakes in the defense.
       In a post-match press conference, the coach said that the players gave their best in the match, looking forward to a better performance in their next match against Syria.
       Stimac stressed that he and his crew are sparing new efforts to bring achievements to Indian football, and they will not stop working until they make the fans happy, indicating that he will work to expand the selection from Indian clubs, and allow many players to join the national team in the coming period.
       The coach pointed out that four of the team's key players did not participate in the current edition due to multiple injuries, but he trusts his players in Doha and believes they are capable of winning and bringing joy to the fans who supported them in the last two games. (QNA)
