AFC Asian CUP Qatar 2023/ Palestine Coach Holds out Hope in Tough UAE Clash

Doha, January 17 (QNA) - Palestine coach Makram Daboub said his side would face a tough challenge when they clash with the UAE in their second Group C match of the ongoing AFC Asian CUP Qatar 2023, on Thursday. 
    Speaking at the pre-match press conference, the Tunisian said that his highly ambitious and determined men would hold out hopes of making it past the group stage.
    There are still six points ahead, and the victory on Thursday will strongly push the team to the knock-out phase, Daboub said.   
    The Palestinians lost their group stage opener 4-1 to Iran in an emotional encounter, that saw thousands in the stands rooting for them. 
    Daboub warned that the UAE would go on the offensive from the kick off of the game to earn the three points ahead of their high-octane third group stage match against Iran. (QNA)
