AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023/ Oman's Tamim Al Balushi Suffers Cruciate Ligament Tear

Doha, January 17 (QNA) - The Omani Football Association announced today that Tamim Al Balushi, the national team player, suffered a rupture in the cruciate ligament in his left knee after undergoing medical examinations and an MRI.
The player was injured during his country's match with the Saudi team on Tuesday as part of the first-round matches of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023. He left the field before the end of the match and it was evident that he would miss the tournament.
Oman lost 1-2 to Saudi Arabia in the first round of the group stage.
Oman will take on Thailand in matchday 2 of Group F on January 21 at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium, while its campaign will conclude in the group stage by facing the Kyrgyz national team on January 25 at the same stadium. (QNA)
