Qatar Finance and Business Academy Announces Start of 9th Edition of "Kawader Malia 2024"

Doha, January 17 (QNA) - Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA) announced the start of the 9th edition of its national program "Kawader Malia 2024" with the enrollment of new participants who were chosen according to the program's designated pathways. In a statement, QFBA said that the 2024 program has accepted 80 participants, who were chosen from more than 300 applications submitted from the time registrations started on Oct. 16, 2023. CEO of Qatar Finance and Business Academy Khalifa Al Salahi Al Yafei delivered a welcome speech on this occasion, congratulating the new participants who were chosen to join the program this year, emphasizing that their selection was made based on each of them successfully passing various assessments and interviews. Each applicant was then assigned to a specific pathway in line with their current and potential career paths. Al-Yafei went on to say that the 9th edition of "Kawader Malia" is especially significant because it coincides with the 15th anniversary of the Qatar Finance and Business Academy, which was founded to be the only national body specializing in providing training and professional development programs for the banking and financial services sector in Qatar. He also explained that the Academy organized "Kawader Malia" in 2013 as a result of its responsibility to the country's financial and banking sector and meeting its demands, as well as a desire to improve the quality of its services. Furthermore, Al-Yafei emphasized the value of enrolling in a state institution to receive practical training as part of the program plan, which helps students define their professional goals, boost their self-confidence, and provide them with the opportunity to experience a real work environment and learn about potential career options. Additionally, he emphasized the significance of bolstering students' professional networks through the program, as this is a crucial means of expanding career prospects and attaining personal and professional success across diverse areas. The program's 9th edition is supported by the main partnership with Qatar Central Bank, national partners such as the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau and the Ministry of Labor, and a strategic partnership with the Qatar Investment Authority. The "Kawader Malia" is a national program aimed at Qataris who have recently graduated from university or entered the job market. It seeks to provide participants with the opportunity to increase their knowledge of the financial services industry as well as their leadership and management skills. (QNA)
