‘Something Like My Eyes’ wins 1st award at Greek film festival

The film ‘Something Like My Eyes’ directed by Houshang Mirzaei won the first prize at the Third International Documentary Film Festival.

The film was screened at the closing ceremony of the event and grabbed 7,000 euros in cash, in addition to the first award.

Slovakia and France stood second and third respectively after Iran at the festival which was co-sponsored by Greece Interior Ministry and UNESCO.

More than 30 short films from Iran, the US, Britain, Greece, Slovakia, Bulgaria, India, New Zealand, Poland, Italy, Belgium, Canada and France were screened at the festival.

Addressing the opening ceremony of the festival, Greek Interior Minister Prokopis Pavloponlos said that the message of the event is opposition to war and bloodshed.
