AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023/ China Coach: We Seek Victory over Lebanon, Rectify First Match Mistakes

Doha, January 16 (QNA) - The Serbian coach of the Chinese team Aleksandar Jankovic affirmed that winning Lebanon match is the key for qualification for the next round in AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 tournament.
   At a press conference held at the Media Center ahead of the match, Jankovic stressed the importance of furthering efforts for victory, confirming that he respects the Lebanese team and will seek to rectify the first match mistakes before Tajikistan, expressing his great respect for the Lebanese team who are competing within the group.
   Wednesday’s match is critical for the two teams, and China will fight to win the match because the Chinese footballers have been preparing for this clash for months, Jankovic outlined.
     Tomorrow's match will determine the real abilities of the Chinese team, and it is a challenge game for them, he added, pointing out that he always prefers for never talking to the Chinese team about the competing teams, because each team have their own identity, personality, and the mode of playing.
   Speaking at the press conference, the Chinese footballer Wu Lei said Wednesday’s match against Lebanon will correct the mistakes to strongly compete and win the match, affirming that the game is difficult and requires extreme focus to avoid mistakes.
   China Team play in Group A along with Lebanon, Tajikistan, and hosts Qatar. China played a goalless match against Tajikistan at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium, and they are scheduled to play the Lebanese counterpart on Wednesday at Al Thumama Stadium and conclude their matches by facing Qatar on Jan. 22 at Khalifa International Stadium‎.
