QRCS Holds Ordinary, Extraordinary General Meeting

 

Doha, January 16 (QNA) - Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) held today its Ordinary and Extraordinary General Meeting (OGM & EGM), under the chairmanship of HE Chairman of QRCS Yousef bin Ali Al Khater. 
    The agenda of the EGM 2024 involved endorsement of Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities' (RACA) approval to extend the tenure of the current Board of Directors for 90 days, selection of the date of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for election of the Board of Directors, and formation of the board election supervisory committee.
    The OGM 2023 meeting discussed and approved the Board of Directors' 2022 annual report. Director of Communication and Public Relations Mohamed Rashid Al Marri gave a summary of key results and achievements of the main divisions: Relief and International Development, Volunteering and Local Development, and Medical Affairs, in addition to adopting closing audit report for the financial year ending on 31 December 2022.
    According to the presentation, a total of more than 2.2 million people benefited from QRCS's social, medical, and educational activities during 2022, at a total cost of approximately QR 351 million.     Internationally, QRCS implemented relief and development projects in 31 countries, for the benefit of over six million people, at a cost exceeding QR 233 million.
