AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023/ South Korea Top Group E after 3-1 Victory over Bahrain

Doha, January 15 (QNA) - Paris St Germain's Lee Kang-in's second half brace gave South Korea a 3-1 win over Bahrain at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Monday to sit his side atop Group E of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023. The midfielder's brace in minutes 56 and 68 broke the 1-1 tie after Hwang In-Beom opened the scoring for Jurgen Klinsmann's men in the 38th minute and Bahrain's Abdullah Al Hashsash levelled it in Minute 51 at the 15,000-capacity venue. Later on Monday, Jordan and Malaysia will clash at the Al Janoub Stadium in the other fixture of the group's first round. In the second round, two-time champions South Korea will face Jordan on Saturday at Al Thumama Stadium while Bahrain will clash with Malaysia. (QNA)
