AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023/ Oman Coach Stresses Readiness for Tomorrow's Match against Saudi Arabia

Doha, January 15 (QNA) - Oman coach Branko Ivankovic affirmed their readiness for tomorrow's confrontation against Saudi team. The match will be held at Khalifa International Stadium within Group F matches of AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023. At a pre-match press conference, Ivankovic said that tomorrow's match would be important for both teams and difficult at the same time, describing the Saudi team as a strong competitor. Despite being in a strong group, the team would be looking forward to get past the group stage as a first step, the coach stressed. He added that Oman had previously faced strong teams and were able to perform satisfactorily. The team had prepared well for the tournament during the preparatory period and had great respect for the competitors but do not fear them, he said. Ivankovic praised the Saudi national team, saying they are a candidate to win the title. Ivankovic expressed his happiness at participating in this tournament, stressing that the State of Qatar is accustomed to organizing large tournaments in a wonderful manner. This edition of the Asian Cup will be one of the strongest editions in view of the great development witnessed in Asian football in recent times, he noted. In turn, Harib Al Saadi, the Omani team player, noted the difficulty of the task awaiting his country in their match against one of the strongest teams in the Asian continent. He told the press conference that he and his teammates are excited to participate in this tournament and are fully prepared for it, adding that they want to appear in an honorable manner and defend the reputation of Omani football.
