AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023: UAE Coach: Team Played Well, Happy with Victory over Hong Kong

Doha, January 14 (QNA) - The coach of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) national football team, Portuguese Paulo Bento expressed his happiness with the victory achieved by the team on Sunday against Hong Kong (3-1) in the first match of Group C in the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023.
Bento stated after the match that the team played a good game, but he admitted that they had some challenges facing the Hong Kong national team.
The UAE team achieved its main goal of winning but there is still a lot to address, he added.
The Portuguese coach said they aim to play at the best level and the team is preparing for the next match against the Palestinian national team.
Bento concluded by saying that the UAE team needs to increase its efforts and strengthen some areas, both on the defensive and offensive sides.
Sultan Adil Al Amiri, the UAE national team striker, also expressed his great happiness with the victory and obtaining the three points.
He said that he was happy to score the first goal for the team and be named the best player in the match.
The UAE team aims to please the fans and hopes to deliver a strong performance in the next two matches of the group stage, Al Amiri added. (QNA)
