5th Souq Waqif International Arabian Horse Show 2024 Kicks Off

Doha, January 13 (QNA) - The fifth Souq Waqif International Arabian Horse Show 2024 (A), the first event of the Souq Waqif Equestrian Festival organized by the Organizing Committee at the Private Engineering Office (PEO) until January 20, kicked off on Sunday.
The festival is being held in the western square of Souq Waqif amidst large participation from horse owners locally and abroad.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), general supervisor of the festival Abdulrahman Al Naama explained that the current year’s edition of the festival is characterized by large participation from the Gulf countries, in addition to a special competition for young riders and special competitions for fans following the festival.
Al Naama pointed out that the first day of the festival will be devoted to the competitions of the Fifth Souq Waqif International Championship for purebred Arabian horses, Class A, for 10 different age groups, stressing that this tournament is international and participation in it comes from the State of Qatar and abroad.
Al Naama called for visiting and attending the festival and enjoying its various activities which include kiosks designated for selling equestrian supplies, in addition to various entertainment activities for children. (QNA)
