AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023/ India Coach: Players Must Get Over Loss to Australia

Doha, January 13 (QNA) - India coach Igor Stimac said that their 2-0 loss to Australian team in the first round of Group B matches of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 will not affect his aspirations for better results in the upcoming matches in the tournament.
At the post-match press conference, Stimac said that the Australian team handled the match better and achieved their goal by winning the match, adding that his team has to get over that loss and think about the next match against Uzbekistan.
He pointed out that he expected a very difficult match due to the strong playing style of the Australian team and that his team suffered from corners, but Stimac noted that there were many positive aspects shown by the members of the Indian team that could be beneficial in the future.
While expressing his satisfaction with the performance presented by the Indian team in the first half, the Indian football coach expressed his dissatisfaction with the result, saying that the goals came due to sloppiness from his side during the match. (QNA)
