AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023: Iranian Coach Stresses Importance to Beat Palestine at Sunday's Match

Doha, January 13 (QNA) - The coach of the Iranian football team Amir Ghalenoei emphasized the importance of winning against Palestine in Sunday's match at the beginning of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023.
At a press conference ahead of the match, Ghalenoei said the first confrontation is usually the most critical one, describing Palestine match as the most difficult one because their team have a powerful defender with a good level, adding that the Iranian team are fully ready for this championship.
Ghalenoei affirmed that he is delighted to come to Qatar to participate in this championship, emphasizing that this edition will be the best one whatsoever, in terms of organization thanks to the massive expertise Qatar has acquired during the organization of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament.
Amir Ghalenoei, 60-year-old, added that he has beautiful recollections on the Qatari pitches, noting that football in Asia has recently witnessed numerous evolutions and it became natural to see many Asian footballers participating in the European leagues, something which is positively reflected on the levels of the participating teams.
The Iranian team are characterized by their swift attacks, but emphasis should be put on the defensive aspects as well, he pointed out.
For his part, the Iranian team attacker Karim Ansarifard confirmed that his team are fully ready to confront the Palestinian counterpart, expressing his great hope to make good performance at the begging of the match.
Ansarifard indicated that tomorrow's match is very critical for Iran to score the winning goal. (QNA)
