AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023: Palestine Coach: Looking to Emerge Strong against Iran

Doha, January 13 (QNA) - Team Palestine coach Makram Daboub on Saturday, said his team are looking to emerge strong in their first match against Iran.
In the pre match press conference today, Daboub said that the squad will strive to make a good result in their first match, and then to qualify for the next round.
Daboub confirmed that the team have become more experienced and mature compared to its participation in the 2015 and 2019 editions of the tournament, and are now looking forward to achieving their first victory in the continental championship.
He explained that the difficulties faced by the Palestine national team were very great, and they tried to adapt to that and compensate with training camps outside the country, but the absence of local football competitions for a long period directly affects the preparation.
In turn, Musab Al Battat, captain the Palestine team, said that his country's national team carry a clear message during their participation in this tournament, pointing out the difficulty of facing the experienced Iranian national team.
Al Battat also expressed gratitude to the State of Qatar, the Qatar Football Association, and the player Hassan Al Haydos, for giving him the honor of performing the 2023 Asian Cup oath, praising in the same context the opening ceremony of the tournament, which he described as wonderful and impressive.
