AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023/ Qatar National Team Concludes Preparation for Facing Lebanon on Friday

Doha, January 11 (QNA) - The Qatari national football team concluded Thursday its preparations for the upcoming match against Lebanon on Friday at the Lusail Stadium in the opening match of the AFC Asia Cup Qatar 2023, hosted in Doha until February 10.
Qatar are part of Group A, along with China and Tajikistan. Under the guidance of their Spanish head coach, Bartolome Marquez Lopez, the Qatari team conducted its final training session on Thursday at Field 3 of the Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence. Coach Lopez made the last adjustments to the lineup that will enter the match.
No absences were reported in the final preparations of the Qatari team. Both the coaching and medical staff ensured the well-being of all players.
Prior to the training session, Coach Lopez held a meeting emphasizing the need to harness all potential and achieve the highest levels of focus.
The training session incorporated various playing styles aimed at neutralizing key aspects of the opposing team. Specific tasks were assigned to midfielders, and tactical aspects were applied in both defensive and offensive strategies.
Additionally, the goalkeeping coach conducted specialized training for the goalkeepers to clarify the tactical approach for the upcoming match.
Qatar, winners of the 2019 AFC Asia Cup, concluded their friendly preparatory matches with a 3-0 victory over Cambodia and a 1-2 loss against Jordan. (QNA)
