Sign Language Course for Employees at Ministry of Interior Concludes

Doha, January 11 (QNA) - The Office of People with Special Needs in the Human Resources Department at the Ministry of Interior concluded on Thursday the two-day training course for teaching sign language (level 2). The Ministry of the Interior said that the course, held at the Civil Defense Officers Club, aimed to familiarize the Ministry's employees working in the field and service sectors with sign language to enable them to properly deal with people with hearing impairment and to acquire new skills that enhance communication with the public of the same category to better integrate them into society and achieve positive communication inside and outside the Ministry. The officer-in-charge (OiC) of the technical office at the Human Resources Department and OiC of the Office of People with Special Needs, Lieutenant Colonel Nasser Abdullah said that the course is a continuation of the Office's annual plan and to achieve the Ministry's goal of developing the skills and capabilities of the personnel.
