General Directorate of Coasts and Borders Security Holds Preparatory Meeting for Participants in "Dibel 4" Exercise

Doha, January 11 (QNA) - The General Directorate of Coasts and Borders Security held the first preparatory meeting for the parties participating in the Maritime Crisis Management Exercise "Dibel 4" to review all the preparations and procedures for the exercise, prepare scenarios, and assess the readiness of participating parties. In this context, Director of the Operations Department at the General Directorate of the Coasts and Borders Security and commander of the exercise Staff Major (Navy) Hassan Ahmed Al Sulaiti explained that the "Dibel 4" exercise, which is being implemented under the supervision of the Civil Defense Council and with the participation of the concerned authorities in the country, including the Ministry of Interior and the Qatari Armed Forces, Lekhwiya, the Ministry of Transport, QatarEnergy, and a number of other parties, aims to adopt the procedures applied in dealing with maritime accidents by the Civil Defense Council as a national document for dealing with emergency situations, and to assess the extent of the preparedness of the participating parties and the speed of communication and coordination, as the exercise includes various maritime scenarios.
