AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023: Local Organizing Committee Announces Visit of 24 National Team Fan Leaders to Doha

Doha, December 09 (QNA) - The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 announced on Saturday that Doha will receive a delegation of fan leaders for the Asian teams participating in the tournament. The LOC said that the fan leaders' visit to Doha starts on Saturday and continues until Dec. 11. The delegation's program includes a visit to several stadiums hosting the tournament, and exploring many tourist sites and cultural landmarks, to test the experiences that Qatar will offer to football fans during the upcoming sporting event. Fan Engagement Senior Manager at the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 LOC, Faisal Khalid, said that fans are the beating heart of the tournament. "We are excited to welcome our friends from across the continent to showcase the beauty of the country and provide a preview of what fans can expect when they visit Qatar," he added. Fan leaders play a vital role in informing organizers on how to best deliver the best experience possible. Their involvement provides the LOC with much-needed feedback for future sporting events. Qatar is set to host the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 for a record third time after successfully hosting it in 1988 and 2011. Twenty-four of the continent's best teams will compete for the continent's most prestigious football title in nine international stadiums that hosted the World Cup in November and December 2022. (QNA)
