The State of Qatar Announces Success of its Ongoing Efforts to Reunify Ukrainian Children with their Families

 

Doha, December 05 (QNA) - The State of Qatar announced today the success of the second reunification of Ukrainian children with their families in Ukraine, as part of the State of Qatar’s ongoing mediation and coordination efforts in reunifying families separated by the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement today that Qatar hosted six children with their parents and legal guardians in the Qatari Embassy in Moscow, and accompanied them to their destinations ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
    The statement renewed the State of Qatar's sincere gratitude and appreciation to the authorities of Ukraine and Russia for their cooperation and commitment to the safety and security of these children, and providing the appropriate care for them during the operation and before that. The Ministry also expressed the State of Qatar's thanks to Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of the Russian Federation Maria Lvova-Belova, Commissioner for Human Rights in the Ukrainian Parliament Dmytro Lubinets for their cooperation in that regard. 
    The State of Qatar reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the efforts made by both the states of Ukraine and Russia to reunify separated families and protect the rights and well-being of the children affected by the ongoing conflict, it stressed its commitment to facilitating the reunification of children with their families in a safe and rapid manner in all aspects.
    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that the success of this operation reflects Qatar’s international credibility with various parties, its permanent commitment to promoting peace, security and stability in the region and the world, and its readiness to play a constructive and effective role in the various crises and conflicts that the world faces today.
