AZERTAC-initiated conference and photo exhibition on "Heydar Aliyev and modern Georgia" held in Marneuli

Initiated by AZERTAC and co-organized by Azerbaijan House, a conference and photo exhibition “Heydar Aliyev and Modern Georgia”, marking the 100th anniversary of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, has been held at the Azerbaijan House in Marneuli, Georgia.

The exhibition featured photos highlighting the life and activities of the phenomenal personality Heydar Aliyev.

Prior to the conference, the memory of National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, and Shehids (Martyrs), who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Azerbaijan and Georgia, was honoured with observing a minute of silence.

The speakers of the conference, including director of Azerbaijan House Mehabbat Imanov, AZERTAC's special correspondent to Georgia Khatayi Azizov and employee of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Georgia Ramel Latifov highlighted the life and activities of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, as well as his unparalleled services in the development of Azerbaijan-Georgia relations.

They also touched upon the large-scale energy and transport projects implemented as a result of the Great Leader's visionary policy which play an important role in improving the welfare of the people of Azerbaijan and Georgia, as well as President Ilham Aliyev`s efforts towards boosting the level of strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Georgia.

Recalling his meeting with Heydar Aliyev, head of Center for Strategic Planning of Georgia, political scientist Levan Mamaladze emphasized the importance of the energy and transport projects realized thanks to the joint efforts of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and the former Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze.

Other speakers of the event shared their memories about the Great Leader and spoke about his services to the Georgian people.
