Ministry of Social Development and Family Participates in Made in Qatar 2023

Doha, November 29 (QNA) - The Ministry of Social Development and Family, represented by the Family Empowerment Department, participates in the 9th Made in Qatar exhibition, organized by the Qatar Chamber in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry from Nov. 29 to Dec. 2 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).
The Ministry's participation affirms its constant and diligent keenness to support project owners, achieve its vision and strategic plans, communicate with institutions and parties concerned with the family, as well as empower women economically and encourage them to become self-reliant and develop and launch their projects.
Director of the Family Empowerment Department at the Ministry Fatima Al Nuaimi said that Made in Qatar is a strong opportunity to empower individuals and families economically so that they will later be able to support the sustainable development strategy and deepen the national product in the local market. It also supports and develops projects through training, provides necessary services and equips them with the skills that enable them to compete in the market.
Al Nuaimi pointed out that the Ministry of Social Development and Family helps pave the way for these national projects to reach a place where they can provide their services and goods to the public by offering them outlets that enable them to do so.
The Ministry's participation aims to showcase its initiatives in supporting home-based entrepreneurs and reaching them to entrepreneur status. The participation includes six pioneering production projects, represented in sword making, perfume, pottery gift making, coffee, clothing, and leather painting.
These projects vary to meet the needs and desires of the local public. This in turn works to encourage national production and stimulate local production capacity among productive Qatari families, which contributes to enhancing the role of the family and women in the economic field and their contribution to production and the prosperity of the production base.
The Ministry of Social Development and Family also seeks to provide the necessary services to promote its products, in addition to its continuous endeavor to provide platforms, exhibitions, and outlets that enable it to display its work to the public, market it, and connect it to governmental and semi-governmental agencies that can invest in these local projects to contribute to advancing economic development within Qatar.
This edition is marked by the inclusion of many local market projects and the presence of many private sector companies, in addition to meeting the needs of the local market with Qatari products, which reinforces the principle of encouraging national productive projects to go beyond their borders and reach foreign and global markets by concluding deals and partnerships from outside and inside Qatar.
