Experts, Specialists Discuss Future of AI in WISE Summit

Doha, November 28 (QNA) - Several experts and specialists discussed, on the first day of the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) 2023, a group of issues revolving around the future of artificial intelligence.
The lectures and round table discussions shed light on experts' points of view about topics such as defining the future of education in a world that depends on AI and studying the influence of the increasing power of AI.
The Youth Studio witnessed vibrant discussions among young innovators on a group of topics, including self-learning for special needs students and the cultural perspectives of learners of Arabic in the classroom.
As part of the WISE learning labs, the workshops provided by the summit's partners, allowed the learners to take part in the innovative classrooms, which included practical activities for learning and acquisition of expertise on learning tools and advanced AI systems in diverse educational fields.
During one of the general sessions included in the program, six winners were rewarded with WISE prizes. They developed innovative educational projects, which managed to overcome global educational challenges and left a positive societal impact.
A discussion session, held as part of the conference, dealt with the challenges and opportunities enabling humans to upgrade the role of AI in the future and ways of elevating AI levels without undermining the field of learning. The session's title was "Writing the Rules: What Does the Roadmap to Ethical AI Look Like?"
The session also examined the role of universities in developing AI, especially as part of research universities' commitment to produce and publish knowledge. Experts talked about the solutions teachers can employ inside the classroom given the world's inclination towards more automation, as well as stressing the ethical consideration of AI. (QNA)
