Special Representative of Azerbaijani President: Zangilan has potential to become a huge logistics center in the region

“Zangilan has the potential to become a huge logistics center in the region,” said Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan districts, which are included in East Zangazur economic region, Vahid Hajiyev as he addressed the international scientific-practical conference themed “International transport-logistics corridors: Development impulses from Zangilan” in Zangilan city.

According to him, there are currently 175 families (871 people) living in Aghali village.

“According to the State Program on Great Return to the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, 3 cities, 5 settlements, and 24 villages be built in Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan districts between 2022-2026. Zangilan will become a transport hub. Moreover, the foundation of a new road was laid in Aghband for the development of trade and transport relations with Iran. So, Zangilan has the potential to become a huge logistics center in the region," Hajiyev added.
