Saudi Arabia Welcomes UNHRC Adoption of Resolution on Countering Religious Hatred Constituting Incitement to Discrimination, Hostility, or Violence
Riyadh, Jul 13, 2023, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia welcomed the adoption of the draft resolution “Countering Religious Hatred Constituting Incitement to Discrimination, Hostility, or Violence” by the U.N. Human Rights Council (UNHRC).
After persistent demands from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and many countries worldwide, the Kingdom stressed that adopting the draft resolution embodies the principles of respecting religions and cultures and reinforces the human values guaranteed by international law.
The Kingdom also emphasized that it will continue its efforts to promote dialogue, tolerance, and moderation while rejecting all destructive actions that seek to spread hatred and extremism.
