Kyrgyzstan to celebrate Kurman Ait on June 28

Bishkek, June 19, 2023. / Kabar /. Kurman Ait in Kyrgyzstan will be celebrated on June 28, the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan said.

This day is a red day of the calendar, and the next Wednesday will be a non-working day in the country.

Kurman Ait is celebrated on the 70th day after the end of the fast and completes the rite of the Hajj - the pilgrimage to Mecca. For Muslims, this day begins with a festive prayer.

Also on this day, a sacrifice is traditional. The meat of the sacrificial animal, according to the prescription, is divided into three parts: one is distributed to the poor, a treat is prepared from the second part for relatives, neighbors, friends, and a Muslim can keep the third.
