FM of Kyrgyzstan meets with Princess Zahra Aga Khan

Bishkek, June 15, 2023. / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Princess Zahra Aga Khan as part of her visit to the Kyrgyz Republic to participate in the graduation ceremony for graduates of the University of Central Asia, located in Naryn.

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic said that during the meeting, the sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the Aga Khan Development Organization (AKDN) and the organization's project activities in the country in the socio-economic, educational, and cultural fields. Particular attention at the meeting was paid to discussing the issue of deepening the partnership of Kyrgyzstan with the AKDN in the field of support from the organization of the mountainous regions of the country.

Kulubaev thanked Princess Zahra for the active work of AKDN in Kyrgyzstan in areas significant for the country and for her personal support for the activities of the University of Central Asia, whose activities have a multiplier effect and positively influence the socio-economic development of the Naryn region.

In turn, Princess Zahra highly appreciated the bilateral interaction of the two parties within the framework of the AKDN project activities in the Kyrgyz Republic and expressed the organization's readiness to strengthen its support for Kyrgyzstan in promoting the ongoing socio-economic reforms.
