AZERBAIJANI MINISTER OF JUSTICE VISITS GERMANY
Berlin, 16 June (AzerTAc). On the invitation of German Federal Minister of Justice Brigitte Zypries, Azerbaijani delegation headed by Minister of Justice Fikrat Mammadov paid an official visit to Germany.
Azerbaijani delegation visited the juvenile prison in Berlin, Justice Center, provincial constitution court, prosecutor`s office and court in Potsdam city, Brandenburg.
German officials briefed Azerbaijan delegation about judicial system in the federal land of Brandenburg and discussed a variety of questions of mutual interest.
During the meeting with German federal Minister of Justice, Azerbaijani delegation exchanged views on various issues, including prospects for cooperation. The two sides also agreed to exchange their experience. In November, Azerbaijan plans to send a group of judges and notaries to Germany.
The ministries also signed a joint statement on judicial cooperation.
