PM Attends (Ababil 1) Exercise For The Iraqi Air Force, With The Participation Of The French Air Force / More

Baghdad / NINA / - The Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad al-Sudani, supervised this morning, Tuesday, the implementation of the Iraqi Air Force aircraft (Ababil / 1), which reflects the level of readiness and advanced performance reached by our heroic pilots.

After the exercise, Al-Sudani was briefed on the aircraft exhibition, met with a number of Air Force officers and cadres, and listened to a briefing on the progress of work and the implementation of duties.

Rafale fighter jets from the French Air Force participated in the exercise, and the commander of the French Air and Space Force, General Stephane Mill, and his accompanying delegation attended the exercise.

The Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces delivered a speech at the outset of the air exercise, in which he said "we stand today in the shadow of the wings of the heroic Iraqi Air Force planes, as they perform their honorable exercise (Ababil /1), indicating that "the exercise practically embodies the readiness of pilots, technicians and all crews."

Al-Sudani added, according to a statement by his media office, "the high performance of our combat aircraft, accuracy and skill, all of which were the result of prolonged work, training, confirm the efforts made in all technical and military disciplines."

Al-Sudani continued: Today's performance is a step towards completing the building of our armed forces, and the embodiment of our governmental program in raising the army's efficiency to high levels of professionalism.

He said that "for the first time we are witnessing the implementation of such an exercise in the skies of the new Iraq, which encouraged friends in the French Air Force to participate in Rafale planes and land them here, which is something we encourage all brothers and friends to do, for the sake of constructive military cooperation."

Al-Sudani praised the heroic pilots' heroism in the war against terrorism, and their willingness to continue to defend Iraq. / End
