Arab Parliament to Sabbagh: We welcome return of Syria to the Arab League council meetings

 

 
Damascus, SANA- Speaker of the People’s Assembly, Hammouda Sabbagh, received a phone call Wednesday from Speaker of Arab Parliament, Adel Abdulrahman Al-Assoumi who affirmed the support of Arab Parliament to Syria.

Al-Assoumi expressed the Arab Parliament’s support and solidarity with the Arab official decision to resume Syria’s participation in the Arab League and all its delegations in the meetings of the Council.

Arab Parliament stated that this decision is closely aligned with Arab common interest and brotherly relations among Arab peoples as it will contribute to preserving Syria’s unity and territorial integrity.

In a statement posted on its website, the parliament previously welcomed the decision of the Arab foreign ministers to resume Syria’s participation in the meetings of the Arab League Council.
