Pakistani forces kill 41 militants in 24 hours
Rawalpindi, June 15, IRNA – Pakistani forces have killed 41 militants in various areas of the northwest in 24 hours in the offensive and one soldier was also killed and 7 others were injured, the army said Saturday.
Fighter planes bombed two terrorists compounds in Makeen area of South Waziristan tribal agency but the number of casualties could not be ascertained, an army statement said.
In Swat, the security forces carried out search operation in Mingora and recovered cache of arms, Night Vision Goggles and Devices. Two terrorists were also apprehended, it said.
Terrorists killed one soldier and injured another four in an army camp at Kabal area of Swat.
In Bannu, the security forces have secured several areas and killed 35 terrorists.
In Orakzai Agency, tribal region, terrorists locations were targeted by air force after lot of deliberations and concrete evidence based upon intelligence reports that the seminary of a cleric Maulana Amin and other hideouts were being used for terrorists activities in the province and else where in the country.
The army claims that locals have also confirmed that the Madrassa of Amin was being used as a slaughter house for killing of innocent people and for keeping kidnapped personnel.
