Ahmadinejad says he is ready to hold debate with President Obama

Tehran, June 15, IRNA – Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said he was ready to hold debates with his American counterpart Barack Obama.

The President made the remark while addressing a press conference attended by over 200 domestic and foreign correspondents only two days after his re-election on June 12.

He said Iran was monitoring the attitudes of different world countries towards the recent presidential elections in Iran and was assessing their positions towards the Iranian elections.

Saying that Iran’s nuclear case was a thing of the past, he noted that cooperation and interaction among nations was not attainable except through a worldwide alliance for disarmament.
