Ahmadinejad: Iranian nation, like a big river, will wash away straws

Tehran, June 15, IRNA – Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the Iranian nation like a big river will wash away straws and will not allow them to show off.

Addressing people who had gathered in a main Tehran square to celebrate the victory of President Ahmadinejad on June 12 elections, he said those 40 million people who cast votes in the recent elections were the real ones who determined the fate of the elections.

He said now the election procedure was wrapped up it is now time for friendship and construction of the country.
