President Chavez felicitates Ahmadinejad on re-election

Tehran, June 14, IRNA -- Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez on Sunday congratulated President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s victory in the 10th Presidential Election.

In a telephone conversation with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, he stressed that the victory of the Iranian President is the victory of all peace-loving nations of the world.

President Chavez added that the Venezuelan government and nation will always be a friend to the Iranian government and nation.

President Ahmadinejad for his part wished success and prosperity for the Venezuelan nation.

Ahmadinejad gained 24,527,516 or 62.63 percent of 39,165,191 votes cast to stand winner of June 12 election.
